About Me. Harry Garden

My Qualifications and Experience

I saw my first client in 1996. Since then I have gradually built up my practice and by now have seen almost 300 different clients spanning a large range of issues and backgrounds.

What I offer

I like to work in a very supportive manner, really hearing you with full attention. I hold compassion and care for you as very important, even whilst challenging you if necessary. I aim to be authentic, honest and open. I keep our work totally confidential.

I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. They provided me with an extensive four year training covering both practice and theory.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

I am committed to continuing my professional development.

Since completing my training I have attended numerous additional courses on subjects ranging from body psychotherapy to building better relationships. In 2016 I completed a two year training in the supervision of other psychotherapists and counsellors.

I helped lead a year-long course focused on developing life goals and taking leadership.

I continue to read extensively about psychotherapy and counselling.
I have developed a particular interest in how the relationship between the therapist and the client can shed light on relationship problems the client experiences elsewhere.

I am very interested in nonduality and the light that the non-dual schools of spirituality such as Advaita Vedanta shed on psychotherapy.

Maintaining quality

I make sure that my work is regularly supervised by other experienced psychotherapists.
